Yes. Any commercial catering equipment that uses gas – including ranges, ovens, fryers, grills, griddles, and hot water systems – must be installed by a Gas Safe registered engineer. This is a legal requirement under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. PES Heating and Plumbing’s engineers are Gas Safe registered and experienced in the full range of commercial catering gas equipment installations. We issue all relevant gas safety certification on completion of every installation.
We install the full range of commercial catering equipment for professional kitchens across Eastbourne and East Sussex, including commercial gas ranges and ovens, commercial fryers and grills, griddles and plancha units, commercial hot water systems, gas supply pipework and isolation valves for kitchen environments, and associated ventilation and extraction connections. We work with all major commercial catering equipment manufacturers and can install new equipment, replace existing equipment, or commission new kitchen builds from the pipework stage upward.
The duration depends on the scope of the installation. A single piece of equipment on an existing gas supply can often be installed and commissioned within a few hours. A full commercial kitchen installation – involving new gas pipework, multiple pieces of equipment, and associated connections – will take longer and requires careful planning to minimise disruption to your kitchen operations. We provide a clear programme of works at the quotation stage and can often schedule installations outside of your peak operating hours.
Yes. On completion of every commercial catering installation, we issue a Gas Safety Record confirming that all installed equipment and associated pipework has been inspected and found to be safe. This documentation is a legal requirement and should be retained on the premises. We can also set up annual inspection reminders to ensure your gas safety certification remains current.
