How quickly can PES respond to an emergency call-out?

We aim to respond to genuine emergencies as quickly as possible. Response times depend on your location and current engineer availability. Call 0203 439 9474 immediately and we will give you an honest estimated arrival time and advise on any immediate steps you can take to reduce the risk of further damage while you wait. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Situations that warrant an immediate call include: a gas leak or smell of gas anywhere in the property; a boiler that has completely failed in cold weather; a burst or leaking pipe causing active water damage; a complete loss of hot water in a commercial premises; a blocked drain causing sewage to back up into the property; or any electrical fault that poses a safety risk. If you are unsure whether your situation is an emergency, call us anyway — we will advise you honestly.

If you smell gas, act immediately: do not turn any electrical switches on or off; open windows and doors to ventilate the property; turn off the gas supply at the meter if it is safe to do so; evacuate the building; call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999; and then call PES on 0203 439 9474. Do not re-enter the property until it has been declared safe by a Gas Safe engineer.
